Launch of Tales from Riverside Farm
On June 18th, myself and what could only be described as a cavalcade descended onto Kildare Street, complete with horsebox and small hay bales, (hard to find btw!!). The occasion? Well, only the official launch of ‘Tales from Riverside Farm‘, which (to my not so hidden delight), was been officiated by Minister Simon Coveney.
My little guy, Eamon featured on the day along with my cousins, Leo and Hannah Jordan. They did a fabulous job and all went to plan perfectly, well apart from Eamon feeling a bit precious over his toy wheelbarrow when the Minister looked like he might take it ‘No Simon, that’s mine’. Morto for the mother but he is only 3!
After launch pics were taken the rest of the week proved to be a whirlwind as the media demand for AgriKids intensified! Friday Nick and Stuart from RTE’s News2Day came to the farm for a farm safety tour with Emily, Cian and Olivia and on Wednesday I joined the very lovely and very courageous Irene Shanahan on TV3’s Ireland AM. We were featured in newspapers, online blogs, national and local radio and it was just so amazing to have the chance to chat about farm safety and my vision for AgriKids.
But the work is only beginning! Am all set for shows around the country and if you are planning on heading to any – please call up and say hi!
