The Champions for Change movement is about empowering farmers and their families to take a stand for farm safety.The programme is targeting an immediate reduction in farm related deaths where 30 people including 5 children died in the farming sector in 2014 accounting for over half of all workplace fatalities in Ireland. Rather than telling farmers what to do or lecturing them on farm safety, the campaign is using digital technology to create a nationwide community of interest, discussion and support around the issues involved. The entire theme is one of inclusivity and everyone is encouraged to take part.
